Rhymes With Right - It Is A Cyclical Thing, People!

Is this to argue that we should ignore the environment and continue to pollute the earth? Hardly – there are plenty of good reasons to cut back on pollution and otherwise protect the environment. Burning oil and coal have detrimental effects on the environment and should be reduced. But to argue that humanity is responsible for any recent warming trend (and there is plenty of evidence that there isn’t such a trend or that it has ended) is absurd and alarmist – and frankly discredits the notion that we should make an effort to keep the earth clean for the health of the planet.

B.C. Liberals' swift road to self-destruction?

Listen: if the Gordon Campbell Liberals lose because of a resurgent B.C. Conservative party, they have no one to blame but themselves. Four problems off the top of my head: The Liberals have gone hyper-green on global warming; their about-face capitulation to aboriginal triumphalism is almost complete; they refuse to rid the Human Rights Act of the censorious section underwhich Maclean's was prosecuted in that infamous kangaroo court last year; and they're overseeing a radicalizing of the B.C. school curriculum (under the outrageous Corren agreement).
