San Rafael adopts [climate scam] plan
"Adoption of this plan will really put San Rafael in the first wave of cities that
are making a very serious effort in addressing climate change," Community Development Director Bob Brown said. "One of the benefits of this plan is it will keep us focused."

The document is critical to stopping a climate catastrophe, said Kiki La Porta, a member of the city's Green Ribbon Committee and president of Sustainable San Rafael. Without it, and the programs it outlines to halt damage to the plant, wildfires will become more frequent, ice caps will melt and cities will flood, she said.

"Perhaps you recognize that inundated area? That is our city," she said, showing a slide that featured a map depicting San Rafael under water after a 1-meter rise in sea level.
Scientists devise climate change alert (ABC News in Science)
Andrew Constable from the Australian Antarctic Division says scientists believe the Southern Ocean holds the answers.

"It's the only place in the world where any change there is is attributable to climate change," he said.
From high school English teacher Steve MacKenzie: Interesting example
Of course the next question always is, "Can you give us an example?" And then the teaching of thesis statements begins. This year I said that if I were going to write a research paper on global warming my thesis statement would be something like "When examining the global temperature patterns over the last century, the predicted catastrophic damage to the planet from rising temperatures may be the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the general public." The topic is global warming. The thesis statement which drives my research paper is my belief.

...I am also not expecting to see many thesis statements that suggest "global warming," excuse me, I forgot we changed it to "global climate change" since the "warming" thing wasn't happening sufficiently, is a bunch of hooey.
