YouTube - Global Warming: We are the World, Make Your Case to Us!
The inconvenient truth is that scientists disagree on global warming. If it is man made, if it is even real. Demand to be shown all the evidence, not just what supports their theory. If science wants the entire world to embrace their theory it needs to be peer reviewed. If it isn't scientifically provable don't waste our time and taxes on it.
Is this really about carbon dioxide?: Final dispatch from climate change summit in Alaska
[Bolivian Foreign Minister (FM), David Choquehuanca's] presentation contrasted capitalism and socialism as they related to Mother Earth. Capitalism uses Mother Earth for profit and personal wealth he said, whereas socialism uses Mother Earth for sustenance and life. He asserted that the capitalist system was in crisis, and was a symptom of the imbalance between regions, nations and people. The crisis, he said, was due to an imbalance between man and nature, and a return to the laws of nature is the way to recovery. A full recovery requires the laws of man be replaced by the laws of nature because the laws of man disregard the laws of nature. He said it was time for a reorientation of society so man and Mother Earth can once again live in harmony under the laws of nature, and that the Third World can not afford to continue to subsidize the First World.

The foreign minister's presentation was interrupted by applause several times and he was given a standing ovation at the conclusion. Given that the audience was predominately composed of more than four hundred indigenous people from eighty of the 192 United Nations member states, the Mother Earth/collective theme fit in nicely with the traditional values of the participants. I don't necessarily believe this suggests that the participants are socialists, but it may suggest the socialists' incorporation of traditional concepts to achieve support from traditional people.
