AD: New Zealand may go bust over Global Warming by Guest: Dennis T. Avery, 5/31/09
Meanwhile, Obama’s U.S. government has just punished New Zealand with trade-distorting dairy export subsidies—because our corn ethanol program has pushed our cost of dairy feed too high. World corn prices have doubled in real terms, and may go higher as our ethanol mandates keep rising. That jacks up the U.S. cost of “alternative fuels” even further—while New Zealand will have to file a well-justified case against America under the World Trade Organization rules.

Ah, what a tangled web we’re weaving, rather than admit the Emperor of Global Warming has no clothes.

[Tim  Huelskamp] has taken a vocal stand in opposition to the cap-and-trade legislation that President Obama has proposed to reduce carbon emissions by industrial and energy plants. Huelskamp became the first Kansan currently running in a U.S. House race to sign the “No Climate Tax Pledge,” created by the conservative group Americans for Prosperity, which opposes “legislation relating to climate change that includes a net increase in government revenue.”

Huelskamp also pushed to pass state legislation to authorize the construction of a new coal-fired electricity plant in western Kansas without a carbon tax mandate.
Waxman's actions show lack of respect | News-Leader.com | Springfield News-Leader
I am amazed at the utter disregard for the citizens of the United States of America as demonstrated by Henry Waxman presenting the "cap and trade" bill to his committee. Not only did he admit to not reading or knowing the complete contents of the 1,000-page bill, he insulted all Americans by hiring a speed reader to read the bill before the committee vote.

I would expect this from a "Saturday Night Live" skit but not from members of Congress.
