Stand by for full-scale alien invasion as climate warms [unless it cools] - Scotsman.com News
ALIEN animals and plants dubbed "sleeper species" are lying in wait in Scotland and could become invasive as the climate warms, environmental experts have warned.
The problem species could range from plants from overseas grown trouble-free in Scottish gardens for decades, to fish that have long been introduced into rivers for anglers.

Although non-native, these species have not in the past spread in the wild. However, there are warnings that, due to climate change, some could become invasive and cause mayhem.

Existing alien invasive species, such as the grey squirrel and Japanese knotweed, have spread out of control, clogging up habitats and out-competing native wildlife. The cost of attempting to remove them totals millions of pounds each year.
Waxman predicts House passage of climate [fraud] bill - washingtonpost.com
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives will pass a sweeping climate change bill by the end of next week, House Energy Committee Chairman Henry Waxman said on Tuesday.

Waxman said he was uncertain if any Republicans would vote for the legislation, but expected to finish the measure early next week and have enough Democratic support to approve it.
Waxman-Markey Global Warming Proposal's Other Problematic Provisions
The cap-and-trade provisions in Waxman-Markey are more than enough reason to be highly critical of this proposal. Nonetheless, the renewable electricity standard, low carbon fuel standard, and appliance efficiency mandates are truly terrible in their own right and would only heighten consumer anger if this misguided proposal ever becomes law.
