Warning Signs: Slippery Green Words
EcoAmerica doesn’t want to “confuse” the public about “cap and trade” legislation that would run up the cost of energy for everyone by thousands of dollars a year. Instead, they recommend that Greens talk about “cap and cash back” or “pollution reduction refund.”

Having apparently concluded that the Greens have been lying to them for years, all the polls and surveys reveal that “Environmental issues consistently rate near the bottom of public worry, according to many public opinion polls.

Over at Green Inc., John Broder has written about a fascinating White House document that conservative lawmakers are calling “a smoking gun” showing that the Obama administration was warned of weaknesses in the finding by the Environmental Protection Agency that greenhouse gases threaten health and welfare.
Just curious: When Revkin refers to politicians who believe in global warming fraud, does he identify them as "liberal" lawmakers?

So why should any fence-sitters support it now that the admiinistration has backed off its CO2 regulation through EPA? Wasn't the principal argument in favor of Waxman-Markey that "you'd rather be at the table while Congress is writing this than let EPA regulation open some devil-you-don't-know can of worms" (an argument that was nonetheless hard to accept for anyone who actually read Waxman-Markey)?
