Stott: The Clamour Of The Times
Indeed, I would ask everybody to refuse to vote for any candidate of whatever party who employs one of the following ridiculous phrases:

+ “Saving the Planet/Saving the World”: a particularly persistent piece of political rubbish recycled by all ‘lazy’ or hubristic politicians who wish to appear ‘Green’;

+ “Stopping”, “Halting”, or “Controlling Climate Change”: another potty piece of rubbish from power-mad politicians who must have no idea whatsoever about the complexities of climate;

+ “Stabilizing Climate”: an equally-bonkers bit of nonsense. There has never been, and never will be, a ‘stable climate’ - the ultimate oxymoron;

+ “Fighting Climate Change”: a quixotic piece of twaddle if ever there were one - worthy of John Prescott himself [“For it is he!”].
The Clamour Of The Times
“Two British environmental activists, whose carbon-neutral voyage to Greenland's polar ice cap resulted in a storm-induced mayday call, were rescued by (wait for it) … an oil tanker.”

I just adore the “carbon neutral” bit. Dire weather destroyed their “solar panels and the ship's generator.”

And their saviour? The 113,000-ton tanker, ‘Overseas Yellowstone’, carrying 680,000 barrels of oil. Oh me! Oh my!
