Al Gore and his on-line network have yet to speak out on the actions by the North Korean government -- the arrest and now the sentencing.

There’s been a virtual news blackout at Gore’s TV Current, his on-line TV station has suppressed readers’ comments, refused to report the story about his own reporters. TV Current even posted a guard to keep the press out, as reported by the SF Weekly.
Now, the two journalists, Ling and Lee, have been convicted and sentenced.
Then and now, the former Vice President remains silent.
His silence in March, through April, through May has left the two pawns in the standoff between the U.S. and North Korea.

There are plenty of things we are doing that are harmful to the environment. As James Farrar frequently and eloquently discusses, we are not good at acting in sustainable ways. But let’s at least have a better understanding of what we’re really looking at on this CO2 thing and then make IT investments accordingly. Let’s not be frightened into making the wrong choices using science that could turn out to be bad.
For three years running, the met office have been forecasting warmer than average summers. The last two have been wet and miserable and despite the current forecast, this summer so far has seen snow on the Pennines in Scotland. Twice this week, we have had the central heating on, it has been so cold.
