Wind Observation Map - Britain shows that locally the wind speed is 2mph, and that is measured at a hilltop aerodrome (Lynham), and it is similar across the whole country. That is a feature of very hot and very cold weather, the wind doesn't blow. So none of the expensive power generating whirlygigs will be working as a million fans and air conditioning units turn on this morning.

So I'm pleased to note the BBC is reporting:

Cap and Tax Mary was forced to respond to outrage over her vote to impose the largest tax in American history via a statement to local KPSP News.

It’s beyond time for our nation to become energy independent and embrace future energy sources. While, not perfect, this bill takes bold steps forward that will help create new green jobs, build a stronger , more sustainable American energy supply and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.  [Why doesn't Bono Mack even mention the alleged main purpose of this bill, which is to improve the world's weather?]

South Dakota Politics: The Anti-Science Obama Administration

For a couple of years I was a participant in a national online meeting on open government. All over the country groups convened and logged into the national meeting, and we watched a video and listened to a panel of national figures discuss the subject. Then our local panel discussed before a small audience. The first year it was quite good. But the second year the event got hijacked by global warming zealots, including NPR Science Friday host Ira Flatow.

The theme of that second annual meeting was that the Bush Administration was anti-science because it suppressed the truth about global warming. The evidence of this was that the Administration didn’t sufficiently publicize the views of individuals working for the various branches of government who thought that global warming was a serious threat. That theme, that the Bush Administration was anti-science, became a major meme in left wing discourse.

Well now the executive show is on the other foot, and guess what? The Obama Administration is doing the exact same thing.
