[Global warming denier Ricky Rubio:  This guy actually thinks it still gets *cold* in Minnesota!]
The Timberwolves' Mark Madsen, who spent two years in Spain after high school and before entering college at Stanford, wrote a 700-word open letter on his blog to the Wolves' top draft pick Ricky Rubio of Spain. Madsen wrote that Rubio, 18, immediately could affect the transformation of the Wolves into a competitive team.

Madsen also told Rubio that Minnesota fans want to see him play. As for the cold weather, he said Rubio will be able to drive his SUV into Target Center's enclosed parking and never experience the outside air.
Hunger to soar with summer heat says Oxfam - NEW EUROPE - The European News Source
It is estimated that climate change has contributed to an average of 150,000 more deaths from disease per year since the 1970s, with over half of those happening in Asia and 85 percent of them are children. Rising temperatures will make it impossible for people to work at the same rate on hot summer days without serious health impacts with huge ramifications for laborers paid by the hour and the wider economy.
RealClimate: Warming, interrupted: Much ado about natural variability
It first needs to be emphasized that natural variability and radiatively forced warming are not competing in some no-holds barred scientific smack down as explanations for the behavior of the global mean temperature over the past century. Both certainly played a role in the evolution of the temperature trajectory over the 20th century, and significant issues remain to be resolved about their relative importance.
...Regardless, it’s important to note that we are not talking about global cooling, just a pause in warming.
