How Cap and Trade Affects the Health Care Debate » The Foundry
Though it would be nearly impossible to trace out all the impacts of higher energy costs on medical services, one broad measure is the impact on the costs of medical care. By driving up energy costs, Waxman-Markey will drive up the costs of running hospitals, manufacturing medical equipment, producing drugs, driving ambulances and virtually every other component of our healthcare system.Al Gore rewrites history
...after a lengthy hearing the British High Court found that An Inconvenient Truth was inaccurate and contained at least nine significant errors and exaggerations.THE DAILY BANTER.COM: Ripping Up Sarah Palin's Op EdHowever, speaking on ABC Australia Mr Gore misrepresented the judges ruling stating: "Well, the ruling was in my favour".
In reality the judge found at least nine significant errors which "were not in line with scientific consensus" or had "no evidence" to back up his alarmism.
In a world where increasing carbon emissions wasn't a problem, Palin's solution may not be quite as stupid as they seem. But the fact is, Climate Change may cost the U.S $1.9 trillion a year if nothing is done, far more expensive that curbing carbon emissions - and far fewer people will die.Trailer: The Chaos Experiment: B-Movie Global Warming Suspense… :: Daily Uprising
I was strolling the new releases at the local video store the other night when I saw a trailer for a film called “The Chaos Experiment.” I didn’t rent it, but it sounds like a gem for all our cap-and-tax friends. Here’s the film’s summary from IMDB:YouTube - The Steam Experiment aka The Chaos Experiment Trailer 2009“A former professor (Kilmer) concocts a brutal experiment in order to get the word out on the effects of global warming. By trapping six people in an urban Turkish bathhouse, he vows to overheat his hostages unless his global-warming hypothesis is published on the front page of his local paper.Naturally, I assumed the filmmakers were going for some kind of tongue-in-cheek B-movie tribute, but from the looks of the trailer, the filmmakers really do seem to believe that the possibility of a deranged and homicidal climate change scientist is something audiences should take a moment to consider.
I bet they tried to cast Al Gore and found that he was just believable.
Release- to be on dvd August 4, 2009Maybe after they changed the name from The Steam Experiment to The Chaos Experiment, they still couldn't get this movie shown at your local theater, so now it's heading direct to DVD? More on the movie here.
