Kokomo Perspective - Big government looking to take more and more control
It’s another sleight of hand by the federal government. They’re not calling it a tax, but a fee on those who contribute to CO2 emissions. Well, guess what? Those of us who use the products or services of those companies will see increases in the price of whatever we buy from them. That’s the way it works. As a manufacturer is charged for more regulations, those costs are passed on to the consumer.

Evidently, those in power in Congress don’t think we have figured that out. Well, I think we have.
Democrats raise concerns about Barbara Boxer - Lisa Lerer and Manu Raju - POLITICO.com
A big chunk of the House climate change bill is in the hands of Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairwoman Barbara Boxer — and some of its supporters are worried that she’s not up to the task.

For some Democratic staffers, the incidents underscored the danger of having an outspoken partisan liberal in charge of making the kinds of compromises needed to get cap and trade through the Senate.

Although the Warner-Lieberman bill cleared her committee last year, Democratic staffers complain that Boxer failed to win over enough Democratic senators to get it through the Senate and relied on moralistic global warming arguments to guilt Democrats into backing the bill — even though several thought they lacked the information they needed to vet or alter it.

“You can’t just do this by guilting folks,” said one senior Democratic aide who, like others, would speak only on the condition of anonymity. “It has to be an orderly process where every member has their say.”
Too many 'leaders' buying into the 'warming' hype | NewsChief.com | News Chief | Winter Haven, FL
It seems that there is a daily media deluge of "scientific" articles warning of the perils of "global warming." This type of hype from the liberal media is somewhat expected. What is not expected is to see our national leaders accepting this incredible hoax dressed in the garb of scientific research.
From the comment section | Election 2010: endangered Jewish Democrats
Democrats in Congress are starting to worry about 2010, and it has very little to do with U.S. policy towards Israel..The Dems just rammed through a highly unpopular cap and trade program while Hilary Clinton is apologizing for America's carbon footprint in India. India says no thanks to emission contols-"check back with us when we're rich like you" This bill will increase energy costs for all Americans while Geitner's buddies at Goldman Sachs who just finished short selling stocks are now buying up carbon futures and getting richer.
