Government should 'continue fighting climate change with wind energy'

The government should continue investing in renewable wind energy as part of its commitment to fight global warming, British Eco Energy has said.

Andrew Moore, a spokesperson for the company, said he would like to see the emphasis on wind energy continue, as Britain is well suited to this source of power.

He also pointed out that there needs to be bigger wind farms in order to maximise the amount of environmentally-friendly energy that is generated.

"We need to take drastic action and put large-scale solutions in place," Mr Moore explained. "We are heading down that route now with large-scale wind farms being given the go ahead."
