Nimbys versus Dimbys! Jonathan Dimbleby is putting a windfarm in his garden
Within a couple of months, this delicate and elegant device will start to provide my family with all the electricity we need - and more. Not only the lights but the cooker, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, TVs, computers and all the rest.

What led me to this volte-face? In two words: climate change. Or another two: global warming.

I am now certain that we have no alternative but to reduce urgently the levels of carbon that we are still pumping into the atmosphere as though tomorrow simply didn't matter. If we don't act collectively and individually, our children and their children will reap a whirlwind which will obliterate their civilisation.
