Pelosi's a genious. Just days after passing a stop global warming bill I needed long pants & sweatshirt for a walk on July 1st.
Think Progress » After Campaigning For Climate Change Legislation, McCain Now Derides It As ‘Cap-And-Tax’
MCCAIN: In its present form, which is cap-and-tax. … It’s really terrible, because I believe that climate change is real, I believe it is something that we need to address, and I’m sure that a lot of Americans do, but to do so with a bill like this? … What [the Obama administration is] doing is using cap-and-trade…to raise billions of dollars so they can spend money on Cash for Clunkers, you know, buying General Motors and Banks and the world’s largest insurance company. … So it started on the wrong path and now it’s just turned into, you know, it’s laws and sausages at its worst in my view.
Why is “Climate Change” a High Priority?
There are plenty of problems in America right now, I just don’t see global warming as anywhere near the top of the list. This is just more fear mongering out of the government so that they can have more control over our lives. The cash for clunkers program is another redistribution of money program. We are taking tax dollars from everyone and giving them to the UAW. Again, sorry if I don’t see that as a worthy goal. As a side note, I live in a community that has a GM plant idling. Their success has a direct impact on the value of my house. Yet, I don’t think all of America’s tax dollars should flow to GM to help my property value.

If I gave Romm my honest opinion of McCain he would probably even let it through to post.
Heh.
Should I?

"I don't really believe in freedom, probably because of all that time spent in the Hanoi Hilton, but Obama's brand of communism is a bit too much, even for me."
Johns hands are still full grappling over if he's a Republican.
Clue for any pols reading up on global warming here. Pay close attention.
Arguing that Obama, Gore, Boxer, and Waxman, are doing the right thing, except they're doing too much of it, will insure you lose the argument, and with any luck for us, get you tossed out on your ear at the next election.
