When global warming goes on holiday
So I can't walk away from my 'lukewarming' position on the spectrum. I do think global warming exists and will continue to affect us, although I am much more of an apostate than even Roger Pielke Sr. I flat out don't think that there will be dramatic sea level rises or widespread tropical diseases, for example.

But I do think the political position of the most dedicated global warming activists will become untenable very shortly. Again, I'm making this prediction when they seem to have reached the mountaintop--but I'm saying there is no place to go but down.

5. There is a great deal of uncertainty about what will happen. To be sure: There is no (repeat, no) scientific uncertainty as to whether or not the climate is warming. It is. But the question is, By how much? And when? Will the temperature increase by two degrees Celsius over the next 100 years? Three degrees? Seven degrees? The differences matter.
