Park City, UT - Children representing sports teams, schools and youth groups will gather on Saturday to create a visual depiction of climate change’s effect on Park City’s snowpack. The event will be recorded via video and photography. The product of "Where’s the Snow?" will be a short film about the event that shows climate change's potential impact on the local skiing and economy, and will utilize data from a study commissioned by The Park City Foundation, with support from Park City Mountain Resort ski area. This film will premiere at the second "Save our Snow" event, scheduled for September 30th at the Eccles Center in Park City.
“Children will line up at the top of Payday lift -- about 8,200 feet. This is where we will have skiable snowpack during early December and Spring break in 2050, not below and not at the current base,” says Brent Giles of Park City Mountain Resort.
