UW Dept. of Forestry: Global warming expert to speak in Laona on August 18
After the coldest winter in many years, Wisconsin’s third coldest spring in 138 years, and record temperature lows in June, [climate realist Iain] Murray’s speech will be topical. In addition, the Economics of Global Warming will be a timely subject coming on the heels of the “Cap & Trade” debate.Hot on climate, cold on health | The Australian
On the one hand Kevin Rudd is adamant that parliament must move with all speed to lock in an ETS in the interests of future generations of Australians and the planet. The thousands of jobs that may be lost as a result of this are part of the necessary sacrifice. In any case the government is prepared to throw megabucks at industry to soften the pain. And just for good measure Rudd has thrown in the spurious prospect of creating 50,000 "green jobs".[It's a miracle!! Via the carbon trading scam, almost everybody will somehow end up wallowing in money, with only minimal expenses for the rest!]
The aviation industry entering the ETS scheme is expected to open up a huge carbon trading business and enormous profit for participants. The aviation industry could reap rich dividends from selling their carbon credits. Airlines are likely to pass on the charge of purchasing credits to their customers — and this would amount to a very small increase in ticket prices for the average flier. Airlines would normally purchase enough and more credits to compensate for their entire emissions.
