All policy suggestions were approved with the exception of the reading of the cap and trade bill. The approved reading for the policy will say, we oppose the cap and trade bill as it is written and passed by the house.Chamber resists shell game over environmental policy | Dan Dillon | Fargo, ND
The basic premise that Congress – of all people – should attempt to control the amount of life-sustaining carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is beyond foolhardy and can only be explained as a cover to extend taxes and regulations to every aspect of business, manufacturing, agriculture and energy use.
The whole global warming, climate change, carbon cap hoax is wrong for America (or any country). It is wrong for constitutional government, wrong as science, wrong for agriculture and wrong from a common-sense standpoint.
It is right, though, for explaining why our Congress ranks so low in public opinion polls. We need to start a very thorough congressional house cleaning in the next election.
