[Lots of climate scam promoters in Washington today]
The U.S.-India Energy Partnership Summit that Yale is co-sponsoring began this morning and has already included talks from Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Director General of The Energy and Resources Institute Rajendra Pachauri and University President Richard Levin.

Other speakers set to address the summit, which focuses on green technologies, include former Vice President Al Gore and Sen. John Kerry '66. The event is one part of Yale's recent efforts to strengthen its ties to India and to establish itself as a leader in the study of climate change.

"If we are serious about climate change we should stop talking about 2050. I laugh when countries put up numbers for 2050," Ramesh said.
...
But Ramesh ruled out any possibility that India would agree to an absolute cap on emissions in the future. "N-O, No," he said. The position was endorsed by RK Pachauri, who heads the IPCC. "Obviously you are not going to ask a country that has 400 million people without a lightbulb in their homes to do the same as a country that has splurge of energy," he told the conference."
