American Thinker: Loyalty and the Lunatic Fringe
The lunatics in the Democratic Party say that if we don't do something right now, the planet is going to boil. Please, could someone give them a pill to calm down? There have been fossils from marine life found in the Himalayas. There have been fossilized plants found in Antarctica. Just 10,000 years ago Yosemite Valley was covered by a glacier. Climate changes. It's always been changing, but we're not going to boil. Besides, how can burning more fossil fuels cause that much more change to the climate? I thought the problem with fossil fuels was that we were running out.Updates & Analysis On The Cap & Trade Legislation & The Copenhagen Treaty « Web of Evidence: What They Don't Want You To Know
The global warming scam, which is designed to terrify children and adults alike by using a fictional apocalyptic portrayal of “man-made global warming,” has been playing out in the media in a Goebbels-like manner, and showing us that the world’s elite must have a lot riding on this hoax.Toward a Stalemate in Copenhagen - Global Climate Change Lobby

But he is under no illusions it will be easy. “It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that there’s a major proportion of our economy that’s built around traditional energy supplies, and would indeed feel some impact from controlling carbon emissions,” he says. “So that’s what has to be sorted out politically.” At a recent conference in Washington on energy efficiency — a pursuit Google aims to advance by providing people real-time home electricity information — Reicher summed up the climate change politics succinctly: “This is going to be an epic, epic struggle.”Roger Pielke Jr.'s Blog: Boulder County Commisioner Will Toor on ClimateSmart
One clarification of Will's comments below in which he suggests that I don't approve of the program -- I do support the program, I simply think that it is misrepresented as being "climate" anything. It is an energy efficiency program and should be labeled and promoted as such. Further the failure of this modest program to win expansion in the recent election in Boulder County, which is more than just Boulder, should motivate some hard thinking about the program and its marketing. Such programs cannot do much if they are only successful in places like Boulder (city limits) and Berkeley.$10 billion more of your cash | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog
So we’ll pay $10 billion to get power that will actually cost us more, and drive some industries overseas. And this is just a small part of Rudd’s plan - which won’t actually lower temperatures anyway.
Get the idea you’re living in a madhouse, where the only sure thing is that someone is spending your money? Do you wake up each day now and wonder: “What wild scheme will Rudd spend fresh millions on today?”
