Palin v. Gore - Edward John Craig - Planet Gore on National Review Online
Al Gore had a few things to say about Sarah Palin's WaPo oped today.Mailbag: Dave Crank finds your correspondent wrong | The SPPI Blog
Palin responds on her Facebook page, here.Former Vice President Gore also claimed today that the scientific community has worked on this issue for 20 years, and therefore it is settled science. Well, the Climategate scandal involves the leading experts in this field, and if Climategate is proof of the larger method used over the past 20 years, then Vice President Gore seriously needs to consider that their findings are flawed, falsified, or inconclusive.
Vice President Gore, the Climategate scandal exists. You might even say that it’s sort of like gravity: you simply can’t deny it.
[Monckton] Here, in italics, paragraph by paragraph, is a letter from Dave Crank, who disagrees with what I have said about the climate and the Copenhagen agreement, together with my reply to each paragraph, in Roman face. The other Copenhagen conference | The SPPI Blog
The more reflective of the numerous journalists who crowded into our little conference chamber noticed a startling difference between our conference and the panto. There, all was screaming spin. Here, all was calm, rational scientific discussion among the world’s leading climate experts....a journalist from The Guardian jumped up and demanded to know why no one at our conference cared about the plight of Bangladesh. He had been there, he said, and he had seen for himself how it was sinking beneath the rising sea. Why had none of us bothered to go there?[If you can't win a reasoned debate, can you win over the public by trying to drown out opposing speakers via idiotic chants?]: YouTube - US Youth Crash Climate Denier Live Webcast in Copenhagen
Professor Mörner leapt to his feet and said he had just returned from Bangladesh, where his measurements had established that sea-level had fallen, except in one place where imprudent clearance of thousands of acres of mangroves to make way for shrimp-farms had caused coastal erosion.

[Svensmark] had presented his results in London to a group of leading climatologists, who were shown howling him down in the intemperate, unscientific terms we have now become used to from the Climategate emails.
The hatred and venom on the faces of the “scientists” who shouted Svensmark down shows with telling clarity in the movie. What the movie did not reveal is that Svensmark was so shocked at the entirely unjustifiable battering he received at the hands of these grant-gobbling monsters that he suffered a serious heart attack and is now kept alive by a pacemaker.

Carbon caps are politically controversial because they implicitly acknowledge that the world has limits and that countries will have to fight for their individual shares. But technology offers the promise that with the right breakthroughs, we can keep growing.Twitter / Andy Revkin: At talks in Copenhagen, Ge ...
