Ship of Lies 3: Preposterous Pachauri | The SPPI Blog
Pachauri then produced the now wearisome list of lies, fibs, fabrications and exaggerations that comprise the entire case for alarm about “global warming”. He delivered it in a tired, unenthusiastic voice, knowing that a growing majority of the world’s peoples – particularly in those countries where comment is free – no longer believe a word the IPCC says.'Climategate' | Editor's Page | Alarmist Rudy Baum - Chemical & Engineering News
They are right not to believe. Science is not a belief system. But here is what Pachauri invited the audience in Copenhagen to believe.
Skeptics want the public to believe that there is a debate on climate change between two relatively equal groups of scientists, and that one group—those who are convinced that the evidence says that humans are changing the climate—is using political clout and dishonest techniques to suppress the evidence that supports the skeptics' point of view. That's just not true.Richard Littlemore | CopenChaos: Anxiety Rising, In and Out of Climate Summit
...outside are crowds bolstered by people who came to this city in good faith, believing that they were going to be part of the proceedings, even if only as accredited observers. Now, they are, quite literally, out in the cold.Climate Feedback: Video: Chaos in Copenhagen
You have to hope that it is NOT a comment on the likelihood of success in these negotiations, but Stephen Guilbaut, of the Quebec evironmental group Equiterre, said flatly, "this is the worst-organized COP I have ever seen." And starting with the very first Conference of the Parties in Rio de Janeiro in 1992, Guilbaut has attended 10, plus another 15 or 20 intercessionals.
Here’s a short video from Nature on the organizational disaster that left hundreds of registered delegates excluded from the UN negotiations on climate change. As talks on a climate deal heated up inside the Bella Centre in Copenhagen, problems of overcapacity left many stranded for hours outside in the cold as they awaited a decision from UN organizers.Climategate: BBC reporter departs from the official line and the Guardian throws a fit – Telegraph Blogs
Delicious fun this morning, as Justin Webb questioned the consensus on climate change on the Today programme, and his interviewee, Sir David King, the Government’s former chief scientific adviser, reeled in horror. The Guardian promptly threw a fit. Here, thanks to outraged Guardian blogger Leo Hickman – who has already branded Webb a “maverick” on this subject – is an account of what happened:Climate change alarmists have been wrong before
Suppose we had heeded this warning, and had actually changed the course of Arctic rivers, or melted the polar ice cap by covering it with soot? Imagine the problems that might have caused when the Earth began to warm again on its own. The scientists of the time didn't foresee the warming trend that was to resume in less than five years. Many of them are trying to ignore, and even hide, the cooling trend that is occuring now. It seems to me that tampering with the climate in such a way as to intentionally attempt to affect the Earth's temperature might not be such a good idea. The Hoax of the Century: Man-Made Global Warming
In conclusion, the world has not warmed in the past 10 years, every data that has ever been held up in support of Global-Warming is a lie, and this entire movement has been the greatest hoax foisted onto the world citizenry since the dawn of time. For America's sake, I hope we finally wake up, re-examine the facts, and realize that the Earth is not warming, before liberals destroy our economy with crippling energy taxes.Investors.com - Here Comes The Sun
Despite his poor stewardship of the facts and his refusal to debate the issue, Gore is still the go-to guy for most journalists who cover global warming. He's still identified as the climate guru who actually has something to contribute to the conversation.Daily Express | UK News :: Prince Charles: Executive jet with big carbon footprint gets him to climate change talks
The truth, though, is that Gore and so many others gathered in Copenhagen are propagandists. They know that the way to arrange the world economy to fit their preferences and require lifestyle changes in developed nations is to demand that governments do something about the environment.
