Australia’s Rudd Stands by Call for Action on Climate Change [Hoax] - BusinessWeek

Jan. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Action on climate change is in Australia’s national interest and must be pursued for the benefit of future generations, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said.

“If we do not act at home and abroad, we betray both our children’s future, and their ability to enjoy our natural wonders, including the Barrier Reef,” Rudd said today in his New Year’s message to the nation.

Action on global warming is at the top of Rudd’s agenda as he heads into a year that may see an election fought over the issue. The government has vowed to stick by plans to reintroduce legislation in February to create a national carbon emissions trading system after the nation’s Senate rejected the bill for a second time in December, creating an early election trigger.

Has global warming become a religion? The disciples certainly seem to have a strong faith in a catastrophic future. CO2 is sin and everyone who breathes is a sinner. To atone for your sin you can buy indulgences called carbon offsets. They have a prophet in Al Gore. Therefore, they need a prayer.

Carbon trading is a scam

While filling the coffers of big business and the bank, carbon-trading hurts ordinary people because green taxes push up energy costs and the price of staple foods such as bread, fresh vegetables and meat.
In the years to come the huge hike from green taxes will price the annual foreign family holiday out of sight, while Britain’s rural communities will be left isolated as bus and train services are slashed in a vain effort to reduce the country’s carbon footprint.
