We have argued for many years that much of the scientific case for global warming alarmism was weak and some of it was phony. It now looks like a lot of it may be phony.

The claim that this science is now discredited because of these e-mails has no evidence to back it up — but it is being said nonetheless. Some of those saying it are members of Louisiana's congressional delegation.

They should think long and hard about their actions. Not every state is asking for billions of dollars from the rest of the country to save a coast being impacted by sea-level rise, a consequence of climate change.
