"There will always be a body of people who will deny it till they are blue in the face," Pachauri said. "These people are only concerned about continuing with their wasteful and terribly profligate lifestyles."

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)’s faulty claim that most of the Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035 had helped Delhi-based The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) win grants worth several million pounds, a news report in London-based Sunday Times said.

The newspaper claimed, TERI was awarded grants up to £310,000 by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the lion’s share of the £2.5m EU grant funded by European taxpayers.
