Die Klimazwiebel: Richard Tol on Working Group 3 of IPCC
The WG3 report did not attract the same scrutiny. This could create the impression that WG3 wrote a sound report. That impression would be false. Just as WG2 appears to have systematically overstated the negative impacts of climate change, WG3 appears to have systematically understated the negative impacts of greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Althouse: Al Gore would like you to lie back and accept what the government decides is good for you.
He wants the policies that are sold under the name "global warming" whether the prediction of global warming is right or wrong.
The Migrant Mind: What a laugh--January 2010 hottest January ever!
It seems difficult to understand how the world could be at record warmth while the temperatures have been so cold over such a large area. Maybe, we shouldn't listen to the climatologists, who can't seem to look out their windows to see what is really happening in the REAL world, as opposed to the computer worlds they live in.
There is No Frakking "Scientific Consensus" on Global Warming: Al Gore Blows Tobacco Smoke in Our Face - Again
While Gore finds it convenient these days to portray tobacco as the moral equivalent of the Great Satan, to anyone aware of his family history this rings grotesquely hollow. Six years after his own sister died of lung cancer, he himself was still accepting political campaign donations from "tobacco industry political action committees." It took several years following her death for his family to walk away from the income they earned from this crop.

The reason this is important is because the tobacco analogy isn't being deployed randomly or accidentally. It's become a consistent part of Gore's rhetorical arsenal.
