Global warming: Submission to East Anglia University, Part 1
Of particular note is the fact that Jones later wrote a paper involving an estimate of the urban heat island effect in China, where the controversial stations were located. His later study had a far higher estimate of the urban heat island effect than the 1990 paper.
Climate Common Sense: Wind Farms - Homes Served Fallacy
We hear all the time about 10,000 homes , or a small city ,"served" by a wind farm ,which is a load of horse hockey, as wind farms do not serve anyone unless they only wanted power on the rare occasions when the wind is blowing in the right speed range . In the UK's recent deep freeze wind power was almost non-existent. Power grids only work on "dispatchable" power which does NOT include wind as any power system engineer will tell you.
...
The real fact about wind power is that it is fundamentally a TAX on us and future generations for a green ideological dream that does not work. Every electricity consumer will pay more for the next 20 years for these ugly bird mincers that do not produce any "dispatchable" power
C3: NASA Climate Scientist: New Aerosol Research Reveals Climate Models Are Built To Fail
Western governments have been battling real air pollution for decades with much success. So, when they decided to pour billions into climate research and climate models, they for some reason chose not to focus on the impact of aerosol pollution (e.g. black soot). Per new research out of NASA, that decision was dumb - aerosols chemically react with greenhouse gases causing even more warming but climate models are oblivious to that science fact.
[Coca-Cola: Still promoting climate fraud; still deliberately injecting "climate pollution" into our drinks]
"We wanted to create a virtual meeting place where you can connect with your favorite athletes, challenge your friends, trade your stories and track your efforts to reduce carbon emissions in a fun and easy way," said Dave Calder of Project Blue Sky. "Climate change is a reality we must all deal with. PBS provides people with the ability to track and measure their carbon footprint so that we can all work together in preserving the environment. We're thrilled to receive this recognition from Coca-Cola for our effort to keep our planet both blue and green."
Nigel Lawson: A climate change sceptic bites back - Commentators, Opinion - The Independent
This issue is far too important to be discussed in terms of who is financing which think-tanks. The subtitle of your article last Sunday was "ExxonMobil cash supported concerted campaign to undermine case for man-made warming". This slightly curious formulation was presumably shorthand for referring to the case for rapid and drastic decarbonisation in order to prevent man-made warming; and what badly needs to be discussed and debated, far more than it has been hitherto in the mainstream media, is the strength or weakness of that case, rather than who is providing what finance. After all, an informed public, assisted by a properly and impartially critical press, ought to be able to assess this on its merits, rather than simply dividing the world between baddies and goodies and taking sides accordingly.
