[In case you missed it: Check out this absolutely stunning Nov. '09 statement by alarmist Gavin Schmidt]
In your opinion, what percentage of global warming is due to human causes vs. natural causes?

[Response: Over the last 40 or so years, natural drivers would have caused cooling, and so the warming there has been (and some) is caused by a combination of human drivers and some degree of internal variability. I would judge the maximum amplitude of the internal variability to be roughly 0.1 deg C over that time period, and so given the warming of ~0.5 deg C, I'd say somewhere between 80 to 120% of the warming. Slightly larger range if you want a large range for the internal stuff. - gavin]
Climate Change in Tatters
What all of this means for New Zealanders is that we are a victim of a global warming scaremongering campaign. Our political leaders have imposed on the country a range of policies based on evidence provided by the IPCC. The problem is that as this so-called evidence has been found to be riddled with fraud and deceit. It is up to the government to extricate us from the consequences. With the disastrous emissions trading scheme ready to kick in later this year, surely the government must postpone it until it has investigated the voracity of the evidence on which this policy is based. With an estimated $1 billion cost, the ETS should be repealed once the evidence is shown not to stack up. The ACT Party would support such a postponement and eventual repeal in Parliament - and so too would most New Zealanders!
Post Carbon: Sierra Club attacks Sen. Lincoln - Juliet Eilperin
[from the ad script] "But NOW, instead of standing up for Arkansas's future, Senator Blanche Lincoln is co-sponsoring legislation to roll back the Clean Air Act laws that protect us from polluters putting poison into the air we breathe..."
Anyone Giving Up – or Taking Up – Anything for Lent?
This year some church leaders including the Bishop of London and the Bishop of Liverpool, are suggesting people take part in a ‘Carbon Fast’ and give up using iPods, and eat by candlelight to help reduce carbon emissions for the benefit of the planet.
