India to 'pull out of IPCC' - Telegraph
India has threatened to pull out of the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and set up its on climate change body because it "cannot rely" on the group headed by its own Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr R K Pachauri.

The Indian government's move is a snub to both the IPCC and Dr Pachauri as he battles to defend his reputation following the revelation that his most recent climate change report included false claims that most of the Himalayan glaciers would melt away by 2035. Scientists believe it could take more than 300 years for the glaciers to disappear.
EU Referendum: British Council spends £3.5 million on climate change propaganda
In the space of two years, the British Council has spent more that £3.5 million of British taxpayers' money on climate change propaganda – according to information released to this blog under the Freedom of Information Act.

It has been spent on recruiting young people in 60 countries to pressurise world leaders to "to take action on climate change". This included funding groups to attend the December Copenhagen summit in order to take part in demonstrations.
BBC News - Why was it cold in the UK, but not across the world?
This "negative Arctic oscillation" is a short-lived phenomenon, says Gavin Schmidt, a climate scientist at Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies. It can last 10 days and then pass, but the current weather pattern affecting the UK lasted from mid December to mid-January.

The warmness affecting the rest of the world is less of a short-term effect.
DISINTEGRATION OF THE IPCC by Will Alexander, S. African UN Scientist | Climate Realists
It is very difficult to get the message of the disintegration of the IPCC across to those who do not have a close interest in the subject, particularly to South African recipients. Until now, the IPCC scientists have protected themselves by developing a strong herd instinct. Their South African counterparts vigorously countered any attempts to criticise their science. Nevertheless, climate change is not a political issue in South Africa. It does not feature on the priorities of any political party. No South African government, now or in the future, would dare impose the measures now in force in the UK, EU and Australia.

My personal concern, which has not yet been expressed in the overseas media or discussions, is how will the countries that have already imposed costly and unpopular measures on their own citizens, react when they realise that the world's major developing countries are unlikely to follow their example? The IPCC documentation, the Stern Review and other sources have made it very clear that this is an all or nothing exercise. Trade wars and sanctions are on the horizon. These in turn could lead to loss of confidence in all United Nations bodies.
