NZX profits up after carbon registry hit - Markets - NZ Herald News
NZX took a $19.9 million hit on the value of its TZ1 carbon registry after climate change talks in Copenhagen stalled last year. In the full year, earnings before interest, taxation, amortisation, depreciation, and financial instruments declined 6.3 per cent to $17.6 million.[Ohio]: Snowfall Much Harsher Than Years Past
"Macro conditions have moved against the Environmental Registry since the sale," the company said in its financial statements.
"The lack of a global political agenda around carbon and the financial climate has made such 'discretionary' expenditure a lot more contestable and scarce."

The claim that the melting of Himalayan glaciers by 2035 would deprive over a billion people of their water supply has been found to have been bunk in two respects – barely 1% of that number depend on glacial water, and the date of 2035 has no scientific basis.Science associations give science a bad name « JoNova

Thus, just as the whole global warming scare begins to unravel, he affirms his attachment to an increasingly discredited religion.Cherry Picking, Black Swans and Falsifiability | The Resilient Earth
That, in many ways, seems to sum up the Boy. Completely out of touch in his little self-referential bubble, in front of his adoring masses in Brighton, he will come away with the idea that he is reaching out to the people. But, of course, this is delusional. The polls say otherwise. And in probably two month's time, the people will cast their verdict. It does not look promising for the Boy.
When contradicting evidence is found you must reevaluate the theory that made the discredited assertions. Based on direct measurement AGW's fundamental prediction, that an increase in CO2 levels causes an increase in temperature, is a false theory. The correct answer might not be known but the wrong answer is still wrong. In the mean time, climate scientists must stop making unsubstantiated claims or accept that their theory has been proven false by the very predictions they use to argue their case.
