All industries using coal want the most bang for their coal dollar so they strive for the complete combustion of their coal. As we have said before, complete combustion yields carbon dioxide and water vapor, therefore, tax carbon dioxide.

But Dow, to its credit, is hardly an obstructionist on the climate change issue. With manufacturing plants in 37 countries and sales in 130, it uses 850,000 barrels of oil a day. That's about the same as Australia.

I agree that calling people names because they do not agree with you is wrong. However, I can see why it is hard for otherwise civilized people to not regress to name-calling (i.e., “idiot”) when it comes to climate change deniers.

All the deniers need to do is go to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and/or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Web sites and they will see that climate change is happening and humans are at least partially to blame.
