...in the US, climate change has repeatedly been shunted to the back of the political queue. First there was health care reform, now Congress is grappling with financial regulatory reform and then it'll possibly have immigration reform to deal with.
And the political and public will to tackle climate change legislation could be waning. A Gallup poll last month shows Americans are less worried about environmental issues than at any time in the past 20 years. As for global warming specifically, only 28 per cent of Americans now worry "a great deal" about it.
