Gardeners are being warned to prepare for up to a week of unusually late frosts which threaten to kill off spring blooms.

Snow, frost damage ginseng crop

UNDATED (WSAU) A large part of the ginseng crop in Central Wisconsin has been destroyed by bad weather.

Friday's snow collapsed many of the protective tarps that farmers were using to protect the ginseng from severe weather. More damage was caused by frost on Saturday and Sunday morning. And the area remains under a frost advisory until 8am this morning.
