KENT ISLAND, Md. -- The Maryland Department of the Environment said that tens of thousands of small fish have died in the Chesapeake Bay due to the stress of the cold water.

A local meteorologist says it's going to get much colder.

"We're moving into that time of year, the third week of January is normally when the temperature bottoms out in Winnipeg and southern Manitoba," said Weather Expert, Jay Anderson.

Bottoming out at minus 30 plus a windchill and that's when it gets more dangerous and frost bite can happen under 10 minutes.
