Flooding at home not polar bears convinces people of man made climate change - Telegraph
just seven per cent believe public announcements from a company about how it is reducing its impact on climate change are accurate
Editorial: Keep on swinging, Prof. Hardy, you're right about climate change | masslive.com
We wonder if University of Massachusetts geoscientist Douglas R. Hardy and his research colleagues sometimes feel like the Bill Buckner of global climate change.

In 2001, Hardy and other climate scientists predicted that the snows atop magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa would disappear by 2015.

That prediction was used by former Vice President Al Gore in his 2006 documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," and the rest is history.

Unfortunately, it looks as though the climate scientists were a bit off on the prediction. Yes, the snows are melting but Kilimanjaro can expect to keep its snowy cover for as long as 50 years.

We all know by now what will happen. The climate change deniers will be shouting to the rooftops. "The scientists got it wrong. They are scare mongers using government funds to push their environmental agenda." Or in the words of singer Paul Simon "and blah, blah, blah."
