Remember when we desperately needed to pay a tax to fund programs to save our grandchildren from carbon dioxide? Turns out we need to pay that same tax to fund everything else

BOTTOM LINE: It may well be that the most viable way to deal with the revenue side of our budget problem is by simultaneously dealing with our climate problem.

Add in a McKitrick option, for the tax to go down if global temperatures decline.

But I'm certainly onboard with ending useless subsidies, killing the ethanol industry would be a good thing.
