Green fields: USDA testing climate [hoax] credits with Iowa, Illinois farmers

A $2.8 million project in Iowa and Illinois that the USDA is helping fund will study methods of cutting back on the amount of nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas, that escapes from farmland as a result of farmers using nitrogen fertilizer.

The Fertilizer Institute, the fertilizer manufacturers' trade group, is coordinating the project and putting up $400,000 of its own money to help match a $1.4 million USDA grant. The USDA is awarding $7.4 million in grants for nine such projects in 24 states.

THE HOCKEY SCHTICK: New paper shows much higher sea surface temperatures PRIOR to the rise in CO2

A paper published online yesterday in the journal Paleoceanography shows Nordic sea surface temperatures were as much as 6C higher than the present during the Holocene Climate Optimum (~ 9500 to 6000 years ago) and a "general cooling trend" over the past 7000 years. The paper finds changes in solar energy impacting the Earth (solar insolation) explain the natural cycles of cooling and warming seen in the proxy reconstruction. The study results clearly show no correlation with CO2 levels and once again demonstrate how the Sun controls climate, not CO2.

The overwhelming evidence both scientific and historical (in the "climategate" e-mails) shows that the theory that human emission of CO2 is causing "global warming/climate change" is one of the greatest frauds in the history of science.

That the New Yorker is a vehicle for her regurgitation of the propaganda of environmental lobbyists as it ignores the real data and the opinions of real scientists, is tragic beyond belief. Your magazine is now an active participant in that fraud.
