From June 5-9, 2009, the temperature never rose to 60 degrees or above. It is the only stretch in the record books with five consecutive June days with high temperatures in the 50s. It was during that same stretch, on June 6, 2009, that Dickinson and other areas nearby received between 1 and 4 inches of snow.

That was the first measurable June snowfall in Dickinson in 60 years and only the second time measurable snow was recorded in June there since records began.

The whole thing is now a train wreck. Although no one started out to scam or mislead, really the ­climate scientists are a bit corrupt now as they know they are exaggerating, but there are now too many jobs, ­industries, trading profits and ­political careers riding along on this nonsense to admit it is just that.
