JPL News Release - NASA Research Offers Explanation for Earth's Bulging Waistline
A team of researchers from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif., and the Royal Observatory of Belgium has apparently solved a recently observed mystery regarding changes to the physical shape of Earth and its gravity field. The answer, they found, appears to lie in the melting of sub-polar glaciers and mass shifts in the Southern, Pacific and Indian Oceans associated with global-scale climate changes.
The team of researchers sought to find a climatic reason for the dramatic changes in Earth's gravity field observed since 1997.

Then it must also be concluded that CO2 has a direct relational effect on variations in solar activity and lunar orbital fluctuations. Not only that but the increase of CO2 is in adverse variation to the number of angels that can dance on the head of a pin. AGW is a scam and amount of dreams and lies will make it so. How do these charlatans sleep at night or look their children in the face every morning?
We should also point out that the mass of water retained behind dams has altered the rotation of the Earth.
Water that normally would go to the oceans and contribute mass to the equator is being retained at higher latitudes, providing a shorter moment arm, and thus speeding up the Earth's rotation a hair.
They looked for a climate related cause and bingo, they found it. Hey, they didn't look for anything else.Sounds like the IPCC.
