Day 26: Today was the 4th day on Thor Island and much as it's a nice part of the Arctic its appeal is now wearing off. We awoke to another bitterly cold, not mention lively wind...
In many ways this expedition has been a big game of cat and mouse with the Arctic. One minute we've got the upper hand - like we did before landing on Thor Island - and the next the Arctic responds with a punishing attack of its own.

So for now both the winds and the ice state are preventing any further progress, but it appears a change is on the way for Thursday

Whilst it was bitterly cold outside cleaning the decks was by far and away the better gig
