Just had Susan Solomon on the phone. Asked (and I agreed) if I would be a convening lead-author on the Atmospheric Observations chapter of the next WGI IPCC report. Means a big commitment for the next 2.5 years. Doing it with Kevin Trenberth. If you've not already sent off your recommendation re professorial pay rise, this might be some useful information. If yes, I can keep it to use next year.
