AP calls out global warming scientist « Don Surber
The major problem with Peter Gleick — and the Associated Press glossed over it — is that he committed fraud by forging documents. He made up documents and attributed them to the Heartland Institute — much as Dan Rather did against President Bush in 2004. Both cases were felonies to me, but don’t look for Peter Gleick to be tossed behind bars.
Mr. Worthing: Most Likely Author
Shawn Lawrence Otto at the Huffington Post takes up Anthony Watts' challenge to use JGAAP (Java Graphical Authorship Attribution Program) to determine the authorship of the fake Heartland memo.
His conclusion is; "According to the above six analyses, which as I caution above may contain unknown errors, the most likely author of the climate strategy memo is Heartland Institute president Joe Bast."
Stalemate over EU oil labelling seen as win for Canada
CALGARY - Canadian politicians and oil producers called a win Thursday after members of the European Union failed to reach consensus on labelling oilsands bitumen more carbon intensive than other crude oil.
As many of EU representatives voted against the Fuel Quality Directive as those who abstained, 128 members in both courts, with 54 votes coming in favour of the proposal seeking to curb climate change.
Blog: Global warming skeptic Prof. Lindzen testifies before House of Commons
The Telegraph has published Prof. Lindzen's presentation here as the House of Commons undertakes to "Reconsider the Climate Change Act" -- the provisions of which have decimated the British economy. America's hapless Republicans are somehow unable to organize an effective political debate over global warming hysteria that is affecting everything from Solyndra to the Keystone Pipline-- even though I'm sure Prof. Lindzen is available to testify before congress. This renewed debate in Parliament represents a significant shift in the balance of power against the eco-fanatics.
