David "Climate Nuremberg" Roberts suggests that things will start looking up for warmists after today's old people die

‘Cohort replacement’: Climate deniers won’t change, but they will die | Grist
I don’t think the climate deniers will ever change their minds. What will happen is that they will, to put it bluntly, die off. We might wish it otherwise, but I fear that change on climate — real change, non-linear change — will not happen until the generational cohort in which climate denialism is concentrated begins passing into the sweet beyond.

Gee, look at that! They're all BOOMERS! The most hated generation still alive, right now.

Roberts assumes that the Gaia is reading from the warmist script. If the temperature trend continues to diverge from model projections, if temperatures continue flat to cooling, it will not be just the boomers that are skeptical.

I'm a geologist and a BOOMER. The rocks don't lie. I certainly don't believe any of the warmist blather. I also agree that if the solar minimum continues and planet earth's temps just drop a little, over time there will be a migration of people out of Europe to Africa, or be pushed out (literally) by encroaching ice. Too bad that I'll be "planted" by then to see it happen.

Since practically nobody under statutory school-leaving age has actually experienced his scary warming thing, he's got a lot of persuading to do.

My guess is that we'll be looking at these folk like alien abduction fantasists before long.

Please! The Baby Boom generation began on January 1, 1946. Don't tar those of us born before 1946 with that label.

Reality is a bit different, and cruel in general to Mr. Roberts' types. See, most children grow up when they hit adulthood, and they tend to ditch their more Utopian ideals as they hit real life head on. So, no, it's no surprise that the saner folks have the gray hair; they always will.
