Here is what I know. Socialists say carbon dioxide somehow is killing the planet. To save the planet, we must get people to reduce their production of carbon dioxide. In Australia, the government will tax people to get them to stop using carbon. But raising taxes is unpopular and there is going to be an election. So the not very bright prime minister of Australia, Julie Gillard, will introduce a plan to give Australians money so they can pay the carbon tax, which is being introduced to get people to use less carbon.

That would be like the state of West Virginia giving money to smokers to cover the increase in cigarette taxes to get people to quit smoking.
