Heartland released a computer forensics report, conducted by Protek International, which states: “We conclude that the Memo did not originate on the Heartland System. It was not created on the Heartland System and was never present there prior to its February 14 posting online.”Polar Bears' Long-Distance Swimming Skills on Display - NYTimes.com
The new report contradicts disgraced climate scientist Gleick’s claim to have received the memo from someone affiliated with The Heartland Institute and adds to a growing body of evidence pointing to Gleick’s guilt.
I asked him to consider these findings in relation to the much-discussed reports of drowned polar bears a few years ago. He said that mortality appeared linked to a powerful storm, but said “generally speaking, polar bears seem capable of swimming amazing distances.” Pagano said there is concern that the stresses from continuing ice retreats could threaten the bears’ prospects in the long run. Still, this is quite a different picture of the issue than that painted by some climate campaigners in years past.NYT Reporter Justin Gillis Does it Again! Author of 'Worst NYT Story on Climate Ever' -- gets even worse! | Climate Depot
'Gillis has officially reduced himself to the equivalent of a newsletter writer for climate pressure groups. Just when you thought his reporting cannot get any worse, he surprises us again'
Even more journalistically wacky is what one astute reader of Bishop Hill blog noted that Gillis added the phrase “serious risk” in relation to the 97% "consensus" silliness. Gillis ... pulled the "serious risk" phrase from thin air. The reader at Bishop Hill accurately noted: “With that fabrication right at the start of the article I see no reason to read any further.”

My comment on the wuwt Fakegate story:
You have to be blunt with this unkempt bearded leftist who tried to bring us all down, as he said we are part of a paraphrased “big money big oil machine,” when we are the opposite in that we are kind of a ragtag (but noble) group, and the govt supported Chicken Littles get something like 225 times our total funding. We are the little guy, the underdog, the beaten up, the dumped on. We are the good guys. And oil has nothing do with us. I just got wind that oil companies are in fact contributing to the climate changers. The financial advantage of the warmists is monumental, astounding.
I called him the Geek Glieck because he has that gawky (really, gaunt!) over-intellectual radical Berkeley leftist look. You thought he was smart, but then he proved, frankly, to be a feckless bumbling idiot in his shoddy execution of his evil and criminal scheme to disgrace us. What a dunce.
