More notes on Kerry Emanuel's interview with Chris Mooney

Kerry Emanuel - Conservative for Climate Science | Point of Inquiry

At the 1:40 mark, Mooney claims that the science on the climate change issue is "not contested".

Around the 11:30 mark, Emanuel talks about his infamous "ashamed to be an American" quote. He says "I made a mistake...that was a foolish thing to say, because of course it got taken out of context".

Around the 13:20 mark, Emanuel says that he's no longer a Republican.

Around the 23:50 mark, Emanuel says that "the Tea Party has checked reason at the door in favor of ideology".

[June 2011]: Reality Bites
Emanuel is a proud, lifelong Republican. Or at least, he was until recently, when he voted for Barack Obama, the first time he's ever backed a Democrat.

So Emanuel is no longer a Republican and did not vote for the GOP anyway. He was never conservative. Wonder how long it will take lefties like Mooney to stop pretending that Emanuel represents conservatives in any way.

If you bothered to listen to the interview Emanuel was quite clear that the loony far-right Tea Party nitwits neither are conservatives nor represent them in any way.

Further, Emanuel showed that by idiotically denying AGW they are not participating in the debate about policy responses to climate change and handing political action directly to the Left.

Fortunately Emanuel is FAR more of a Conservative than any of you anti-science, climate deniers could ever hope to be.
