Columbus Zoo workers hint at how to combat climate change through educational talks | The Columbus Dispatch
“Talking about gloom and doom is not going to get you anywhere,” said Shelley, a keeper in the zoo’s North America exhibits. “But I challenge people to make one change when they go home because isn’t it cool that we in Columbus, Ohio, can do something to save the polar bears?”

Whether visitors realize it or not, they are receiving subtle messages about climate change from zoos and aquariums nationwide as they gawk at the lumbering elephants and stand transfixed at the size of the polar bears’ paws.
