Many commentators have weighed in on climate change not being more of an issue in the campaign, or being brought up in any of the Presidential debates. Mooney calls it “a national scandal.” He says it shows the shallowness of the national media.
...
Mooney says environmental issues were put on the back burner during President Obama’s first term, in part because of the economic crisis. He says people who realize the environment is the greatest threat to the world were dejected by the lack of attention.
...He says there is science showing differences in the brains of conservatives and liberals.
...
But Mooney says looking objectively at American politics shows that conservatives are more likely to ignore science and reality.
