Oceans Refuse To Cooperate: Global “Warming” (1.3ºF over 140 years) “On Pause” - Amy Ridenour's National Center Blog - A Conservative Blog
Clearly politicians should embrace the precautionary principle when making policy related to climate changes that appear to be heavily driven by natural factors such as cyclical changes in ocean conditions.

Take note, take pause: The oceans simply refuse to cooperate.

The actual number of hurricanes to make landfall averaged 1.7 per year over 1923-2008. So to claim that their selection threshold is “roughly equivalent” to hurricane landfalls is to provide a very generous interpretation of the term “roughly.” It is like me saying that I am "roughly" 18 feet tall.

A little bit of sanity has returned to the US. With the presidency safely back in his grasp, Barack Obama finally felt able to mention what has been the elephant in the room during the entire election campaign: climate change.
So let us hope that the business community looks beyond its false over-optimism, digests the brutal truth about the challenges global society faces, and joins together to face up to the threat that Obama finally found the courage to voice at such a critical moment.
